    Need boat cover

I have a 03 ProCraft Pro 185. I would like to have a good boat cover made. Is there any place around the Kansas City area that does a nice job and reasonable price? If not who would you recommend? Are there any individuals around that does that kind of work? Thanks for your help.

    Re: Need boat cover (Luke)

Thanks Luke. I really want someone fairly close though. Delivering it for measuring and then going back to pick up gets pretty costly now with the price of gas. I know of a couple here but was just checking if anyone had other ideas. Yea, I am looking for something of a better fit than the Aurora covers. Do you pull your boat with cover on? I have heard it is hard on the cover, gelcoat and really cuts down gas mailage.

Bob, Did you just order on Internet and select a standard size or did you take your boat somewhere to have it measured? Was it a trailerable cover? What do you think about pulling your boat with cover on?

I have an Aurora and it is one well built heavy duty cover. It trailers really well, but the downside from being pretty heavy duty is it's heavy and cumbersome to take on and off.

I rarely trailer with the cover on anymore. I did it once from NY to KS with a 97 Stratos I owned and one of the straps rubbed a spot right through the Gel Coat. I did order over the phone simply by giving them my boat make and model. Since I went to Ranger in 2000 my last two boats have had the Ranger covers and they fit better than any I've had.
