    Let's Go FISHING!

Hey all! I'm from Riley Kansas and I just found this website and it is a wealth of info.
Tx's I will be at this year:
    BASS Series: Jayhawk Division
    Cabela's Scholarship
    MakeAWish Foundation
    ABA's 10 of em I think
    JPBB Circuit

I heard you guys talking about some of these so I hope to meet you at the lake. Look for the Maroon Nitro 190 DC 150Merc.

Talk to Rick Dykstra about the MakeAWish Tourny this summer and he will fill you in on the details. It sounds fun. Hourly weigh-ins and payouts.

Anyway nice to meet you all.

    Bob,

If you're fishing the Cabelas T, we might be getting together afterward. Maybe we'll see you there and welcome to the boards.

I probably better hush up. Last year I didn't do so good in that tourney. I'll be gunning for smallmouth this year though, so watch out.

    Re: (rngr481)

Milford, Rick didn't say they have a date yet. He said look for the annoucement in the paper and at local bait shops. As soon as I hear anything I will post.
He said weigh in big bass every hour or not if you don't think you have it. Everyone will have radios on boats and they would annouce the weigh in time over the radio each hour. Sounds interesting anyway.

What I've got is for Make a Wish is:

    Sept. 16th @ Milford Lake

Thank God it's not at Cedar Bluff anymore. That lake is hammered.

Rick did say Cedar Bluff was dangerously low this year and that's why they chose Milford.

Make a wish is a buddy tournament format with a large cash prize for biggest bass of the whole tournament (probably 5 grand) and hourly payouts for biggest bass of the hour. They broadcast results on a radio transmitter and you can weigh fish every hour if you're fortunate to catch that many. All proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation and they also have some great door prizes. It's a very fun tourney. I fish it every year except last year, cause it was at Cedar Bluff. The Kansas Bass Federation now has a gentlemen's agreement with Nebraska and Colorado Bass Federations not to fish Cedar Bluff until it has a chance to recover. Used to take 25 lbs plus to win on that lake. It's depressing what has happened to it.
