Dale 1-11-09

Went to Dale yesterday with Greg P. From looking at the weather report, I thought it was going to be a picture perfect day but I was wrong. It rained all day and pretty hard most of the day!! The bite was slow to non-existant throughout the day. We fished mainlake pts, secondary pts. grass flats, mouths of the creeks all the way to the back of the creeks and only boated 1 fish. Had 3 or 4 pull off and that was it! Not sure what's wrong with me lately but I've boated 3 fish in my last 2 trips down there! I guess I'm due soon.

I did catch my first smallmouth in the new boat. 20.5" healthy fish!

I had a good time Greg and look forward to it again!

I had a great time, even tho it rained bucket's. Glad you got your 1st smallie in that sweet new boat. I have dents in my forehead from going so fast in the rain, felt like BBs, guess I need to get one of the face mask.
Something that hit me this morning, you may need to slow down just a little, we were fishing that jig way to fast. It is going to take some time getting a feel for fish out of a bigger boat. But you will get there. Lets do it again, on the upper end.

Thought of you two yesterday, when the skies opened up here, & wind started wipping @ home.
While I was sitting in a nice warm house watching football; just thought poor Greg.
Single console raining cats and dogs, someone who just went from small to big and hammer down all the time

Matt I know what you mean about the weather report they said the rain would move out around noon so I got there about then. It was still raining when I got home after dark. We boated 3 and had a couple come off. Tough afternoon!

I was just along for the ride, then had to hang on for my life in that rocket.

He would have to go to the upper end of the lake to fish my spots. I don't know much about the lower end....yet.
