My work won't let us leave early. I'm gonna raise some hell if I get stuck downtown for the night. My car is a beast in the snow but it doesn't matter what you have when it's ice. I work at a bank and what makes them think we'll have people in here?

How would you like to be out on the water today in a Ice Storm...this morning I talked to a guy at Speedway putting gas in his bass boat. He was headed to the lower end of Cumberland to pre fish for the BFL this upcoming Sat.

He was complaining about how bad the road was that led into the State Park Pumpkin Creek Ramp. I advised him to go on down the road an launch at the new ramp at the dam.

He was going to load out this afternoon and drive around and launch from Conley tomorrow. I don't know what will be the more interesting ride running down the lake or pulling a boat down the road

Apparently the mayor requested all employers to let everyone go home early. I got back from lunch and my parking lot was empty aside from my truck and the guy I was riding with. They didn't even tell me.

They let us have the option of leaving early. That's the first time in the 10 years that I've been there that've made that offer so I thought things would be ugly and getting uglier. Little did I know that the roads would be fine.

It is probably going to be a mad house on the highways when I go home.

See!! See!! That's why I moved down here. No chance of an ice storm!! At least not today.

Well I left for Nashville @ 6AM got into a little and got back home around 1:45PM.
Got into it more on the way home just outside of Bowling Green.
All I heard on the CB was the truckers saying you needed reservations on 64 to get into the ditch, it must be a real mess up around L town....you guys take it easy and leave PLENTY of room....so you can dodge the other guys

Just came across Gene Snyder and the cars are starting to stack up in the middle and off the sides, between 64 & 71. My work truck looks like a big ol block of ice, it must be 3/4 inch thick on the bumper, grill and down the sides.
