    oil bath bearing help

I have a 2005 Triton boat and Trailer. I recently returned from the lake and noticed a black powdery subtance on both my rear hubs. The hubs were to hot to touch and smelled of hot metal. I am not mechanically minded and would like to take it to a local repair shop. Is it safe for me to trailer the boat about 10 miles to the shop? How do I avoid this from happening again?

Sounds like your brakes were dragging.

you could back the brake capilars off and then run it down to the shop.
