Boat Buckle install

I got a pair of retractable "Boat Buckles" for X-mas. I went to install them on my Nitro Z6 trailer and they will be too high and will hit the boat of boat when launching. How are you guys installling these? Pictures?

Take a picture of where you ant to put them and post it here, sure someone can help, I have a older TI traler and couldn't use them on my setup got a ladder bracket in the way.

I'll post some pics of my install once I get my boat back from the dealer.

I installed mine on the factory mounts, but the buckles were sideways from how people normally mount them. Still work great, but doing it sideways lets me rotate them down when loading & unloading to make sure the boat don't hit them.

To do that, I double nutted them with washers, and left them just loose enough I could rotate them down by hand, but not loose enough for them to move on their own.

I bought the extra mounting bracket, but it made it feel too flimsy, so I didn't use them.
