200 ficht prop shaft bent

I have a 2001 200 hp ficht that hit a rock with and bent the prop shaft, I took it to the marina that services for me and they said they can straighten it out and this will save me half the $ for a new one. Has anyone had this done and is it the best way to go about it or should I just put new one on?

As long as you get it straight to @ .003, you should be fine. Seems a little pricey for a straightening job though!!
