I replaced my fuel line with a modeller universal line and the bulb wont stay firm. It feels like no fuel is being moved but the motor still runs. Any ideas?

new bulb or old bulb? If new, is it an original Johnson-Evinrude factory bulb or an off-brand? Is it mounted vertically?

A Technical troubleshooter possessing more tools than talent !
New bulb, brand is modeller, and mounted horizontal.
Disconnect it at the motor, point it downwards outside of the hull pump the bulb until the fuel begins to flow. Never been a big fan of aftermarket stuff.
