My buddy has a 225 Johnson that just recently purchased. and when loading up the boat onto trailor the engine stalls out when giving gas to it. It doesn't do it any other time. engine is a carb. not fuel injec.thx

My 1994 Johnson venom 225 has done that on occasion. Each time it was a bad bulb on the fuel line. Replaced it and that fixed the problem. (It would stall out getting up on plane, too.) Seems like my mechanic tried several things to fix the problem but he finally narrowed it down to the squeeze bulb.

also make sure his motor is not all the way trimed down in the water it needsto breath or he may just need to turn the idle up
