04 225 FHLSRM. Latest in a string of irritating but minor problems after rebuild and repair of computer last spring - motor has an intermittent miss only at idle and only in gear, runs fantastic otherwise. Plugs have only a few hours on them, some carbon but not badly fouled. Using software, 12V circuit is rock steady at about 14V , 40V circuit fluctuates rapidly between 35 and 40V as problem is occurring. All grounds are clean and tight, battery connections clean and tight, capacitor cycles stop/ignition relay with key on, kill switch pulled (clicks every 4 seconds or so). Stator 40V coils meet resistance specs, not grounded.

FSM says voltages at any rpm should be steady - my question is what do they mean by steady, +/- 1V or +/- 5V?
