    Fogging Johnson 9.9 Question

Help please. Where is the air intake or or how do you access to the carburetor for spraying in the fogging oil? Sorry, I don't have a model number but it is a 1994 or 1995 Johnson 9.9, electric start.

    Thanks.

Re: Fogging Johnson 9.9 Question (Jake Grey)

Quick follow-up: there is this black box right below the pull rope which I presume is a silencer. Upon examination, there is a little hole toward the left hand corner. Could this be where you insert the tube and spray?

Edit to add: the black box I speak of is part #36 in this diagram http://www.crowleymarine.com/j...6.cfm

    Thanks,
    Jake

You could just remove the silencer and shoot it directly into the carb.

As it turns out, the small hole in the lower left corner of the silencer is for the plastic tube of the fogging oil spray. Insert and spray right into the carb. Worked like a charm.
