After you get it clean, wipe it down with Pledge (yeah the furnatur polish) use the lemon sent only not the citrus. The scum and water stains will wipe right off and it keeps a nice shine.

The Works toilet bowl cleaner. Just a little, then some wax (or BBS)... works great!

Awesome product, will take that hull back to showroom white. Biodegradable also. I used this product once (when I used to work for the company - no longer do) on a white Skeeter boat. This guy had owned this boat for 10 years and NEVER cleaned it. Sprayed it on the side and cleaned a spot about 2' long and it took it back to showroom white. This guy could not believe that his boat used to look like that. Product also comes with a 30 day money-back guarantee.

Cut a lemon in half and rub the cut face on the stain. It's effective, cheap and non toxic. Rinxe with fresh water and you're done.

Marinas up and down the TX coast use it. The acid in the lemon is just strong enough to get the job done easily without being too harsh.

This worked really good, its called "KABOOM" bathroom cleaner. I tried it today and it works great. It comes in a trigger spray bottle and sort of foams up when you spray it. All the stains came off my hull and it looks like new.

Because furniture polish has oil in it which is very very bad for gel coat. It will cause dust and grime to build up in the pours of your gelcoat and cause oxidation!! Furniture polish is the worst thing you can use on a boat!! Gelcoat under a microscope is like looking at a honey comb, it has 1000's of little pours, if those fill up with dirt or grime it will start to eat away at the gelcoat. Silicone will also cause dirt and grime to build up in them also.

If you are using BBS and it's not taking off the yellow, and it was there before you starting using BBS, I suggest you try Nu Hull to remove the yellowing, and after that use the BBS to prevent it from returning. BBS acts like a conditioner for you gelcoat, removing the dirt and grime from the pours and protecting it with a quality carnuba wax and also a UV protector.

Lets clear this up.......Pledge is not bad for the gelcoat, will not harm it at all, the main ingrediant in pledge is silcone oil, does not react with polyster gelcoat at all......the only " bad " thing about using pledge is it has no UV protection at all...and , IF you ever need any gelcoat repair, the silicone can be very difficult to get out of the microscopic pores in the gelcoat to do any type of repairs.

Gelcoat needs to be sealed, either with a bonding type sealer like Pro - Tec or with a real good hard Carnauba wax.
Then use Bass Boat Saver on top of these to keep it looking new.
