    Type of foam?

Would anyone know or think they can guess as to what type of foam is in my boat. Trying to find out if my boat is water logged, think maybe this could be the wrong type of foam someone put in it.

It is a type of closed-cell foam but even though it is closed-cell it will absorb water over time and will take forever to dry out without removing it.

    What model/year is the boat?
If it is older than more than likely the foam could be waterlogged. I have seen boats less than 9 years old and were waterlogged in the foam from using as a ski boat or not sealing holes on deck.

From the looks of your pictures that foam looks to be a spray foam. This was used under the deck in alot of the older boats for some reason. The type of foam you need to worry about being water logged is the foam under the floor in between the stringers. The only way to check that would be to remove some of the floor. BUT if you have a metal scrap yard in your area you could use there scales and weight the boat and trailer and compare it to the factory weight of the boat new.

How would I find out what the trailer is supposed to weigh without leaving my boat at the lake or hoisting it in the air?
