    Basscat7 or other fiberglass men

Have finished wetsanding, buffed with 3m compound, polished and now waxed the boat. It looks great, but I have heard oxidation returns very easy. The steps I am planning on taking to avoid future oxidization:
    1. spray and wipe down with bassboatsaver after trips to lake
    2. wash and keep clean
    3. polish and wx every 6 months, another fiberglass guy I spoke with said to polish it before waxing every 6 monhths b/c wax can build up on fiberglass and actually act as a magnet to dirt and grime, etc...
does this make sense? any other advice is appreciated. I really dont want to re-do wet sand

Those steps are fine. Polish is basically a cleaner type wax, it will help to take off any light contaminates that are on the gelcoat. Most of the wax is going to wear off before it gets a chance to build up.
Almost all waxes will start to melt off when the temps get into the high 90's, combine that high temp with friction from the water/air while running and towing and the wax layer is going wear off well before it builds up to the point of being an attractor of grime. That's why it is important to keep it wiped down with a BBS type spray in between waxing.
