Another carpet ? on cutting corners

Cant seem to find it on here and im just not getting it. How do you cut the inside corners?

It shows the outside coners like on the deck lids but i cant find the inside corners like shown in the pic. Do you use the same cut?

cut the angle in half 45°

I tried that and it leaves a big gap.

How was the old carpet cut? You will have a gap if you cut it. Try and stretch it.

You will have to cut a piece to put back in to fill the gap. My original carpet was like that when I pulled it out. Maybe I will get to that part of my carpet job this weekend.

I found the spot in the post for ya 7 post from bottom on page 2


(I just cut a 45 and folded over, (be careful and dont cut all the way to the top,, 1/8 or so)
that will leave a triangle gap in the corner,
then cut a small scrap to fit, some extra glue and press it in with a screw driver.
turned out great and you cannot even see the seam, I dont think theres any way to avoid a gap with that cut, thats the way my old rug came out.)

Thanks everyone, i will cut at a 45 and fill in the gap. I sat out in the garage for hours trying to come up with a way, stupid carpet. Thanks again guys!

Is it hard to get the carpet to stick in those "inner" corners? Can you just glue and stick the carpet in or do you have to clamp to get it to stick in there? Not just the actual corners the whole inside of the square.

I just used henerys outdoor glue, a little extra in the corner(not too much) and stuffed the scrapn in and put some pressure on it with a stick a few times over the next few hours, looks great been there over a year now!

how would 3m adhesive work for the corners? gonna do mine in about a week so just wondering. thanks

just use Dapps Original Contact Cement. Did my whole boat with it over a year ago and It is the best stuff.
