Somewhere on here I heard of using some type of inserts for filling holes that are left over from screws in your fiberglass. Does anybody have any suggestions.

Use 3M 5200...It will seal and cure rock hard, that way you never have to worry about moisture getting in there

You can pick up those little plastic inserts at the local hardware store. At my hardware store, they are in the hardware section, in one of those pull out drawers. I have seen black ones and I believe, whitel ones. I normally put a dab of marine silicone on them before installing them. It helps hold them in there, plus it helps keep the moisture out.

Marine Tex epoxy putty. I would not use any silicone products.

Curious as to why 'not silicone products' for small screw holes--- bolt/large holes I understand..? Thanks, Mike.
My quess, marine silicone as long as it states "under the waterline".Personally,I only use 3m 4200/5200 because it will cure in moist conditions and is very hard to remove after its cured (seals within hours-fully cured in 24)-Good luck!
I don't think of silicone as a fix... Just a "temporary patch" that will not let anything adhere to it. Marine Tex is a fix and can be color matched. You can drill it if you even wated to re install anything back in there with smaller screws etc.
Take a look at the product and "how to's" and "FAQ's". You can buy it at most marine stores etc>>> http://www.marinetex.com/

Thanks, gent'men. I've used marine-tex for larger patches, does great.
Recently i had to patch 2 small screw holes, replacing a windshield, just used silicone. Since it is above water-line, i figure it'll be ok.
