Another carpet question

On both the outdoor adhesive and the contact cement, it says to apply at a temperature of at least 65. How important is this? Don't have a garage, just under a carport. The contact cement says it needs to be 65 for 24 hours before and 72 after. I could take the lids inside the house if needed. Just wondering about the outdoor adhesive for the deck and floor. Live in SC and its in the mid 50's during the day and 30's overnight.

I have a buddy that lives about 30 minutes away that has a garage and said we could put a heater in it. Just hate to have to ride over there everyday, I have been working on it in the evenings after work.

I would error on this side of caution and follow the instructions. Too much is at staker here. There is a chance that the contact cement won't be "grippy", if it isn't above a certain temperature.

I'd go with the buddies garage with a heater in it. I wish I had a place where I could put my boat in it while I redo my deck and carpet. As it is, my boat is too wide to fit into the garage so the garage door never closes all the way. Even with the kerosene heater running I can't get it much above 60 if it's cold outside (30 or below). I'm just going to have to wait.
