Transom wrought?

I just bought an old 85 Skeeter Starfire 175. The boat appears to be in great condition but after getting several replies on another post of mine about transom problems in these boats I thought maybe I would get some opinions on the best way to check for it? There are no cracks in the outside or inside as far as that goes. The motor mount bolts ar tight and not pulled in. I guess wood wrought is the big issue with these transoms so I have been told. All suggestions as to how to to check for this will be appreciated!
