OK. Give me your recomendations for buffing compound and buffer

What brand buffing compound do you guys recomend?

I have some 3M finesse it ll. Will this work?

    What type of buffing pad?

Sorry for all the questions. Just don't want to make a costly mistake!

I don't know about the 3M products but I've used the Meguiar's Oxidation Removal Kit with pretty good results, It is a lot of work if you're doing it by hand so I'd probably recommend using a buffer/polisher of some sort. I'm not sure how well it would work on heavily oxidized surfaces, though, without a little more prep work or perhaps even wet sanding the surface with 2000 grit sandpaper. I got mine from Cabelas and the kit includes an oxidation remover, polish and wax. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas...63288

No. This will be my first time. Thats why I'm asking all the questions. I'm going to try a trial spot in the back, just to make sure it turns out ok.
