I run a 02 TR 20 225 Opti with a 26p Fury . It is at 3 1/4 below the pad . Hole shot is great even decent with full live wells . BUT when I get up to about 5200 rpms the rear of the boat wingles , its not that chine feeling its like maybe I lose a little bit and then it catches again which gives you a squrrilly feeling .
I had a Trophy plus 26 that I could run it out to the rev limiter . So seat time is not the issue .
Would lowering or raising the motor change this ?
My tempest did that when I was first setting it up. I don't notice it after raising the engine some....so I guess raising it some cured it. Made me pucker when it did it..lol. What kinda speed you getting with the fury? You know what your over transom measurement is?
Try raising it a 1/4 inch at time.
Well at 5200 I am running 69 mph with 650 RPMs to hit the rev limiter at 5850 , but that little wiggle makes me chicken out . The old trophy never did that but it would sling blades every 3 years or so .
I will try to raise it a 1/4 in at a time and see what happens . Thanks
Raising it will make it worse. Furys need to run deeper. Try dropping it a 1/4" or have more cup put in it.
