Anybody need a really big AC unit?

I have a new 24000 BTU Fedders air conditioner that has been sitting in an unopened box in my garage for a few years. I just checked on prices and a 24000 goes for over $600. I just want it gone. $300 takes it away.

Thanks Frank, I just spent $500 for a 10,000 BTU and 600 for a 14,000 BTU A/C for the house. Could have saved a bunch.

I will talk to my son about it to see if he is interested. Sounds like a super deal to me!

I/M me the info and your phone # if you wan't. I work in retail selling A/C's and appliances and always come across someone looking for a big AC especially this late in the season. Is it window or through the wall? Be more than happy to steer someone in your direction if possible.

Frank, talked to my son and he is interested but wanted to know is it a window or wall unit? Also is it 110 or 220?

It can be mounted in either a window or wall. It is 220. Here is a link to it's specs.

Bummer Frank, he can't use the 220. Sounds like a super deal to me. If I didn't have central AC, I would buy it.

I would buy it off of you...if my wife wasn't so dead set against having AC. That's the only fight that I can't win right now, and it bothers me to no end. It gets too damn hot in our house, I can't sleep for chit when it's really humid, and I have trouble sleeping when the fan is on.

    Buy the AC.
Put up a tent on that cement slab in the yard.
    Put AC in tent.
    Run extension cord.
    Turn AC on.
    Sleep in tent.

    Problem solved!

Enough already. Somebody just buy the damn thing. If I sell it before Friday I can take the money on vacation next week and blow it. If I sell it after vacation I'll probably have to do something responsible with it. Please don't make me be responsible.

BTW, did you say Mensa or Densa?

OK, no thanks to any of you guys, I just sold it. It was a young couple and she was pregnant so I'm glad I was able to give them a good deal on it. Next item up for sale is an autographed picture of me. The bidding starts at $1000.
