my tilt and trim relay wont keep a connection. the prongs inside the box are bent to far or something. built it up with foil at the lake and it works now. not sure for how long. i looked up the part on evinrude site and they want almost 400$ for it. i dont know if thats just the box or a whole new motor comes with it cause that sounds high. its just a fuse box. where can i get one cheaper and or what about getting it fixed. anyone know what you get to when you remove it. if the back side is open then i can get in there and repair it myself. need some input before i start something that i can fix and should replace. thanks

i had to replace mine, i do have a spare i'll sell ya, but from what i've read you can get someone to fix it, a new one is $$$$

I had one doing that, and I took a pair of needle nose pliers and just slightly twisted the prongs for a better connection. Sometimes that works, other times you have a broken solder joint inside the PDP. Hope this helps.
