    Stickmarsh/Farm 13

This is a 3 trip report. Better late than never, I guess.LOL

StickMarsh water levels remain high, which will make the Springtime free for all in the South end much easier on the boat hull than last Spring.

Garcia is up to about 25ft 2 inches, which is very high. Grass growth in Garcia is spotty, but I have noticed an increase in growth in a few areas. It's "just right" in a lot of areas.

10-23 Lure selection has been pretty simple for me lately. Lipless cranks and the occasional Senko is all I've used. I managed to get 13 Bass, with a 5.5 4.0 4.0 4.0 being my best fish.

10-24 I had the pleasure of taking an internet buddy with me who had only been on the Marsh once or twice before with someone else.

We managed to boat 18 Bass between us on lipless cranks. Our best fish was 5.5 4.0 4.0 and 3.0. I wanted to put "Avid" on a lunker, but he would have to settle for a 5.5 on this day. "Avid" was a real pleasure to fish with and I'm sure we'll do it again soon. I went back out after I dropped "Avid" off at the ramp, but was quickly chased back by a storm with one more 3 pounder to show for it.

10-26 I didn't get out till about 11:00 and fished to around 6:00. I only caught 7 fish, with a 6.0 3.75 3.50 3.25 being my best, but I did manage to find two "new" areas that look promising. All you can do is go check out the "new" areas on the next trip to see whether you've really found anything significant. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.LOL

Sharing info back and forth this Summer with guide Randy Sanders, has helped both of us quite a bit in the last few months. If we weren't both on the water at the same time, whoever was would tell the other what they had found. This is a huge advantage over "going it alone" in my opinion. Thanks to Randy and several others I share info with.

    See you on the water!!

Thanks for the report. As soon as these winds and storm pass, I'm hoping to get my boat back out there.
