Looking at launching out of Dardenelle State Park (Russellville side). I will probably drive out on Friday afternoon. Jayson, is there a restaurant we could all meet at for dinner Friday evening?
I'm thinking a 1:00 or 2:00 weigh-in, what do you all think?? That should avoid most of the other tourney traffic.
Any and all suggestions are welcome. I've never organized any sort of event before, so I'll take all the help I can get..............

As far as restaurants go, Russellville is full of good eating places. The only thing I would worry about would be depending on the number of people we will have it might be best to meet up at like Ryans or Western Sizzlin since they've got areas that we could reserve and be able to all set together. Again thats something we could vote on if we wanted, it doesnt really matter to me, I havent met too much food in my lifetime that I wouldnt eat
I would say a weigh in around 1 would be good, that would let us get in a good 6 hours or longer of fishing if we started at safe light and still have time to hang out afterwards if anybody wanted to.
Either 1:00 or 2:00 is fine with me. Western Sizzlin will usually provide a room if we have enough guys to justify it. When I was with the Jackson Bass Club in MS, we had all our club meetings each month in a private room at Western Sizzlin. Is it true that all the locals chip in and buy the out-of-towners dinner?

March 18th sounds good for me.
I'll bet there will be one or two more tournaments going on at the same time......we could meet all meet real early near the visitor center and then at closer to sun up we could all lauch our boats.....
As far as places to eat, Ryans is about the best for a large group, but it doesn't seem like there will be more than 10 or so people.....
I think it would be cool to make a little Tx out of it.........although you guys would just be putting cash in my wallet

There should be lots of folks there pre-fishing for the Governors Cup Tournament, and will be lots of neat things going on at the park that day,,,,CastingKids contest, Kids Fishing Derby, etc,,,,,with the Arkansas Bass Assn., then a banquet that sat. nite, and Gov. Cup sunday,,,,,,,,fishing should be great, and ya'll really should stay and fish the Gov. Cup !!! Anyway, if i'm too busy to fish the get together that day, ya'll know why,,,,,,i am going to try to be there, and at least fish for a few hours, and am looking forward to meeting other BBC'ers ! D.

Hey since you guys are speaking of Dardenelle and I look at tournament entry fees as donations- can you guys give me some friendly advice so I dont look like more of an idiot than usual for the Governor's cup? I have fished most of the pools below Dardenelle but not this one. Should I just practice in Illinois? Strip pit area? Little piney? I aint gonna run and gun with such little knowledge just need a place to feel out and spend my time to be able to say I donated SOMETHING for the nursery pond.
BTW- Doug if you need some nice drum for the pond I got into those @#$# things above palaram sunday-
