    Which Lew's Speed Spool...

Almost all of my reels are Curado E7's but there have been a few times when the 7:1 ratio simply hasn't been what I've needed.

I'm thinking I'd really like to give the speed spool a shot. I'm looking at getting one of the 6:4 reels to see how much I like it.

Which model would be the most comparable to the Curado E7? They've got different pricing points for each reel and I know how one model might be a huge jump above the other even tho it might just cost $30 more... I'm leaning towards the Tournament Speed Spool at just around $150 but was wondering about the lower priced reels, too.

    Thanks for the input.

I picked up the $90 one and $150 one last weekend...both looked nice but the overall feel of the higher priced one would def make my decision if I was going to buy one. The cheaper one kinda felt like you were holding a smooth peice of sandpaper, didn't like the finish at all.

I actually picked up 4 Lew's Tournament Pro Speed Spools for my up in coming tournament season...well worth the price! The only difference between this and the one below this price point is that the Tournament Pro is lighter and has 1 more bearing. The Team Lew's Speed Spool is just a "tricked out" version of the Tournament Pro and really is not worth the extra $$$.

I would go with the Lew's Tournament Pro. It's a lightweight and solid little reel.

I have the Tournament Pro and consider it a great reel. The only difference between the tournament pro and the tournament speed spool is about 1.5oz's and one bearing, if that isn't worth 50 bucks to you then get the tournement speed spool

I purchased 5 of the Tournament reels in December and have fished them about 7 times now since I bought them and I love them. I have yet to see a down side to them. Will probably buy a couple more in the next month or so.

Tournament pro is lighter and better looking with the carbon handle. That is the only model I will own.

The 1.5 ounces makes a difference throughout the day. That is a 25% weight reduction.

I have both the curado e7 and lews tournement pro. I like the lews pro more then the curado it just feels smoother and its alot lighter.

X2 I sold all my Curado E's and switched over to tournament pro model over a year ago. Would never look back. Had the first two cleaned and supertuned by nitroman77 a BBC sponsor. http://web.me.com/jamesharpel/....html

Oh my gosh they are almost as sweet as my remaining Chronarch D's now and half the price!!
