I use a lee bottom pour. Might consider getting one of these. Before you know it you'll have 10 molds!!! I think they are far superior than a ladle pour. The two you are looking at I would much rather have the first one.
Seen some videos of the first one and I'm going to go with that. The Hot Pot 2....I'm not looking for production pouring, just making them when I need![]()

I have one of those, I wouldn't do it. The bottom pour is far safer imho, I have poured probably 100lbs of lead out of the hot pot and had it tip twice on me, its amazing how fast you can move when 700 degree metal os flowing towards ya. Spend the extra 20 or so bucks and get a bottom pour! Check Cabelas I got my first one from there for like $45, I now have 3 and wouldn't go back to the hot pot for nothing
BOTTOM POUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No question about it, the best $50 you will spend.

Bottom pour is the best. I have a couple molds though that you must use a ladle so I use the Hot Pot II for that.
I use a melting pot to clean the lead and to pour ingots and the bottom pour to make my jigs and sinkers from the clean ingots.
