A guy at work says he has a 1993 201 stratos with a johnson 250 gt is that a v8 and how fast would that rig run he says he can get 75 mph seems a little fast for a old heavy hull like that.

I have a '94 201pro dual console with a 200 gt that will pull 67mph with just me and the right conditions. With more motor and the right setup, I could see low to mid 70's. Those hulls are a little on the heavy side, but good.
No such animal as a 250GT. Only 250 V8 I am aware of was a Saltwater version with 25 and 30" shafts (+ counter rotation option)
There was a 300GT and 300 Limited Edition (Both V8's). If it is one of these then I wholeheartedly believe 75 mph....and then some!
