Thanks again to Rusty, Seahorse, ChampioNman, and Witchdoctor:
Center hub of flywheel was moving about 1/8" - 1/4" of an inch; replaced with the used flywheel. This along with the other things done to motor makes for best performance I've seen. Great idle, smooth acceleration, hit a quick 5700 rpms this morning on the Delaware River; now back to work.
Your guidance via this board helped me understand as well as give credibility to what my mechanic was doing. Thanks for all of your help.
