Weighted and weightless soft plastics. Drop shots, shakey head jigs, and wacky rigged 4" senkos did the job for the BFL guys down here on Lake Norman this weekend. The winner threw a shakey head all week. That was his only bait according to his interview.

I'd bit what is on your avatar in a bed

Depends on the fishes mood. I like to swim an open hooked jig w/grub through and see if they will jump on it. If not then start experimenting with tubes and other plastics.

Any weightless baits, Senkos, wacky rigs, seem to work well. if it is really brushy, try texas rigged compact baits.

    Re: Bed fishing (red dog)

6" Lizards work really well, as do a Craw Worm. My "GoTo" bait when sight fishing is a Zoom Big Critter Craw in green pumpkin/orange claws. the green pumpkin is a good natural color here, this time of the year, and I can see the orange claws well enough to tell when a fish has picked the bait up.
Another really good bait is the Roboworm Pitchin craw.

Sometimes it depends if your going after green ones or brown ones. For smallies we use similar baits. Senkos, mann's stingrays, and some Poor Boys baits and of course your tubes especially white ones.

I have a bag of baits I take with me when I think I am going to get into a few bed fish but the on that works best for me is a white lizard.

on anything white or pink. Easy to see when they pick it up as alot of times you will not feel anything.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion. I can\'t help the fact that yours is wrong.
