    Changing blades on spinnerbait

How do you change the blades on a spinnerbait? Do you have to unbend the wire loop? Don't want to start tearing up bait if I don't have to!!!

The split ring on a SB works the same way as a keychain. I just use my fingernail to pry it open a little and get the blade started, then carefully work it off. If you over bend one you can get replacments for very little money at most sporting goods stores. If you are going to be changing blades alot, they make a tool for it that you can find with a little looking, but I think most people are doing it the way I've described.

if you are talking about a tandem blade spinnerbait and you want to replace the one on the shaft, then you have to unbend it. At least that is the only way I know. If you just want to change the bigger blade though, do it like stated before by taking it off at the swivel.
