Quick was to check is by looking at the HS orifice. The 175 will have a larger size probably in the 70-72D range.
Here is my dilema CM. The guy I bought it off of said the new powerhead installed was a 175. Blown powerhead was a 150 FS. He used the original 150 FS carb assemblies(he says) and everything else off the 150 FS. The heads are the 1991 good ones per the part numbers. The high speeds where 71 and when I checked it at the lake, (at speed and then shutting it down) they looked lean(real whiteish). I installed 72D and now they are somewhat blackish at speed and seems to not have the punch it did with the 71,s. lost about 200 rpm and around 3 mph. Originally ran 58 GPS at 5600 rpm. 19 foot stratos 189V,,,,, (engine has about 15 hours on it at double oil break in (3 tanks)and now on straight VRO/runs and idles great except for that) Art

The mids need to be a 39 or 40. And if you used your idles of the 91 they are fixed and non adjustable. So they will need to be changed to pull air.
