It is that time of year again and this year the Texas State Bass Tournament is on Amistad!! It will be held April 14th and 15th. You can get all the information you need on their website. http://www.texasstatebass.com They have a several different divisions. This is the oldest bass tournament in the state of Texas. I have been fishing it since I was 13 years old. It is a lot of fun.
They have a catagory for bass clubs also. I know that there was 14 clubs from the San Antonio area last year participate at Sam Rayburn. This year it will filmed by Honey Hole TV and aired later.
Here is the information about the club top 6 competition.
1) Bass club spokesman will identify six anglers to represent the club in top 6 competition during the friday check-in and registration.
2) the 6 anglers register in pairs in the team division, couples division, senior team division, adult/boy division, or adult/girl division.
3) registration fees are per division schedule. THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR THE TOP 6 COMPETITION.
4) the paired anglers are eligible for all awards available within their respective divisions as well as the top 6.
5) to determine the winning club, the weight of the angler pairs are summed.
the club withe highest summed weight claims the top 6 award.
the number of live fish serves as the tie breaker
the highest single team two day bag weight serves as the secondary tie breaker
