I was gone yesterday

The Taxidermist that was doing my Black Buck called Tuesday evening and said it would be ready Thursday morning. I headed out early yesterday morning to Kerrville. Stopped in Killeen on the way and met a very good friend for breakfast. Got to Kerrville about 10:45am. Picked up my mount and then called David Lee the guide I used and ask him to meet me for lunch. We met at the LakeHouse there in Kerrville. I didn't expect to see Mark(mha) cause it was his day off but he just happen to stop by their. Mark is one of the good guys and a very good friend and it is always my pleasure to see him. The lunch was excellent as it always is there, had the baked fish. My mount turned out really great and I'm proud of it. For breakfast my friend George paid for that and for lunch my friend David paid for that How sweet it is.

I'm inside today. Looking out my 26th floor window at the clear blue sky. But I'm gonna call it a day and go home, hook up to the trailer and head to Limestone. Burning brush on my lake lot tomorrow (if it's not raining).

I've always said Skip is one of the greatest guys on the planet.....but now I'm not so sure! That BEAUTIFUL mount was sitting in the passenger seat in the truck. Skip told me running down the road that it kept asking for a bowl of milk but since he'd already spent so much money on it all he gave it was water. I just didn't know Skip could be like that!
