Main river was very muddy and so were a number of the creeks we fished. We did catch a number of big fish in one of the VA creeks but we had to slow it down (bite was real soft).

excuse me for my ignorance, but I haven't been on the river due to motor failure... but did it rain there lately??? It hasn't rained up north at all for a while.. Just curious as to why it was muddy. Thanks.
it's been clearing from the big rain a couple of weeks ago but strong winds out of the N/NE the last few days mixed things up pretty good. The weekend series was canceled Sun due to high winds and we had rollers on Mon. We found pockets of semi-stained water Mon. in the lee on the MD side (Mattawomen). Aquia should have some decent water on the VA side.

gotcha ya. I figured it was rough out there sunday considering the tree in my back yard were doubling over. Just waiting on that new power head from yammie......
