Which of these three lakes has the best chance of producing a 12+ pounder in 2008?
1. sardis see chuck justice's website
2. okemah less pressure
3. dripping springs maybe 2 more years
Thanks! I fished with Justice on Sardis last fall. He didn't seem too excited about fishing at Sardis. We only caught a few bass and nothing over 3 pounds. He was BIG on Mcgee Creek though. What year did they drain Dripping Springs? Seems like it was in 94' but I might be wrong.
not sure it seems like it was lat 90's some 7-8's were caught last year so
We caught 3 7+ fish at Dripping Springs last year. I saw another 10+ caught off the dock. that little lake doesn't get much pressure. I see it coming back in the near future. We camp there probably 30 nights a year and always take the boat. I am looking forward to the next couple of years.
Okemah gets more pressure than you think.
My friend also had chuck guide him on sardis last year and he tried to convince him to go to mcgee. He already knew the lake but Chuck took him to Sardis in late Feb and he caught two 7 pounders and one almost 9. I fished a tourney there 3 weeks later and had 21 pounds with a 7.5 kicker and there was two other 21 pound sacks weighed in.
humm i wonder why justice wants everyone to go to mcgee ? you think he's hording the sardis biggies![]()
I know it's not a great big lake, however Bell Cow in Chandler has some hawgs in it!!

A question on Dripping Springs. How are their facilities? My wife is in a wheelchair, but we take the boat out and do tent camping in the summer. Looks like a nice place. We need handicap facilities, close to the campsites, though. Is it accessable?
The facilities are fair. The roads are paved and there are a few handicap campsites. Restrooms and showers are good too. The boat ramp has no dock and all but the ramp itself is gravel. It is a nice friendly place.
