I went bass fishing and my motor ran good till weigh in time! cranked up fine, but as soon as I got it up on plane, the motor died. tried cranking it and it wouldn't start. I checked the primer bulb and it was soft and I didn't see any fuel in my In-Line fuel filter, so I pumped it up tight. Cranked it up and same thing again. Pumped the bulb tight and just went into a fast idle and kept reaching back and pumping the buld tight before my motor would cut off. Did this about 3 times then the NO OIL light comes ON.....Beeps. so I shut it down. Check the bulb coming off my Oil Tank and it's tight. So I break out the spare gallon of oil I carry with me, just for this type of reason, and pour it in the tank.
Prime the fuel bulb up and off we go at a fast idle. Oil light doesn't come ON at first , but about 5 minutes later it comes ON and Beeps, but I can see thru the Filter that its getting the mixed fuel so I keep going, all the way to the ramp 1 hr later.
Whats my problem here? a Bad VRO? Fuel Pump?
I've just changed my water separator filter in the spring, and my IN-Line filter looks clean. why won't my fuel bulb stay tight and the NO Oil light coming ON?
