did that start today? So i shouldnt make the trip ?
I had heard they changed it all up and it was going to be better......oh well
I would not wait your time. I was in and out in a hour looked at everything twice. It was so much smaller I thought I was missing something. The layout is on a diaginal and was poorly layed out.
I guess I won't waste my time going then.![]()
I think the show gets worst and worst every year. There's no real deals on gear either. last year when I went it seemed like it was a Clearance show. All old equipment at not so cheap prices.
What's wrong with the sports show organizers here in Illinois the last few years? I haven't been to the Chicago shows in a few years but the ones I did go to got worsew every year.. We don't even have one near here now![]()

I was thinking of going too, mainly to see the bikini ice fishing team but sounds like I should pass
I don't think that they had 1 major rep from any fishing related product.

That show has been going down hill since Cullerton left it. It was getting crappy
when I moved here in 2004.

I think the show was actually better than last year at least. There was not a sunglass cleaner on every corner or a shamwow dealer in every aisle. I think the promoter actually did a pretty good job in just bringing in outdoor related vendors. Maybe it will be a starting point to build upon. The archery guy that could shoot three arrows at a time and hit three life savers was awesome...
the show was better (then recent years) but smaller, gettin rid of all the BS that infected the shows for the past 10 years was a great start. It seemed like an outdoors show and not a "swap-o-rama.

To me the vendors that where there had all the junk they could no sell in there stores. I was hoping to see manufactures not the bait/tackle shops from the area. More then 1/2 the space used was for tent building and casting for kids.
Great glad to hear the likes of sham wow and sunglass cleaners are gone, maybe they can build it back up. It is extremely difficult for manufacturers justifying going to a small show, when there are so many this time of the year.
