    cable adpt

I have a 2000 175 johnson installed now with the new type wiring system and harness on the boat. If I wanted to install a older evinrude or johnson 150 or 175 motor is there a adpt for the wiring harness from the boat to the old style thats on the motor I can get ?

Yes, there are adapter kits just for that. So you are going to put a 1995 or earlier motor on the boat?

I was looking around at some 1996- 1999 motors , does it have the same wiring as a 2000 ?

96 and newer Evinrude/Johnson motors use the Deutsch connectors for System Check harnesses.
