I've got a TXP 3 blade, 32p modified by Billy to 33p. With 1/2" vent holes I couldn't get it on plane, opened the holes to 7/8" and removed 1" from the barrel and it would vent to 5700 coming out of the hole but ran 93.6 at 6000rpm. I have sent it to Billy to work and try to keep the venting around 4500-5000. This is a winter/cool weather prop for me, a back up to the 33p Hydro Q4X ob which had run 95 but I have had it fixed twice and don't run it except when I try to best my best.
I am running 1.75's and I bought the txp for running. The hole shot is slugish to 2000 then blasts to 4000 then another burst to 5700/5900. Thats why I have sent it back for more tweeking. When in July are you going to be in ABQ.
I'm going to try a 28P in a week or two, just got the boat out of storage. Depending on how that runs I'll make a decision. I'm running 1.62:1 gears in a Sportmaster, this will be a fishing prop, going to compare it to my 28P Bravo.
