I noticed on my weekend excursion on the lake that my transom cap has a little sloping hump in it between two screw locations. I have since sealed it up with silicone to prevent anymore water from seeping in. Anybody see a reason why it would bubble like that? Just old? It wasn't much maybe a 1/16" of an inch up at the tallest location.

I"m thinking about pulling the motor sometime soon and taking a look at the transom to see if any water is getting in there. Transom is solid as far as I can tell. No movement with a motor tug up and down or taps with a rubber mallet. Thanks
