My tach went out on my boat this week. just wondering if anyone had one lying around that would match mine. It is black with stratos wrote inside. I will try to get a pic up tomorrow. Also, if anyone has a complete gauge set with speedometer, tach, trim, water pres. volts and fuel level please let me know. I might be interested in a used merc monitor or some kind of smartcraft system. Thanks.
If your gauges are made by Faria they have a lifetime warranty. Check thier web site out on how to make a claim.
I not sure what brand the gauges are. They are the ones that came in it from the factory. Any chance of them being faria gauges?
Yes there is a good chance of them being Faria gauges. For several years and still to this day a lot of boat companies use Faria gauges. Mine has the word Faria in small print on all my gauges. If you do not see the word Faria on the front of the gauge remove it and look on the back.
If my memory is correct they all come with a limited lifetime warranty. Any gauge less than 2 years old is free replacement. Any gauge over 2 years has a small warranty fee. My water pressure gauge which is around $50 new only cost me $15 plus shipping both ways to replace. I *think* a new system check tachometer with check engine/no oil/low oil/hot alarm is around $185 new but can be replace through Faria for free or $75 if it is over 2 years old plus shipping cost.
Call C&O Marine Parts and they'll have what you need, part or information. I have a 2004 285 ProXL (non-Magnum) and my guages have the Stratos brand on them, no indication of a manufacturer, Teleflex or Faria.
