Recessed tray in a Javelin 409

Has anyone put one in, and if you did, have any issues?

Tony if you have a pic to post for him it would suffice, the boats are very similar. Measure 3 times and cut once.

The boats are similar but i'm not sure if the renegade has a small compartment up front like the 409. I think there is 21-22 inches open in the front which should give me enough room, not sure of cross members. If and when I put one in belive me I'll measure 10 times and will have the cold beer after I cut.

Hey Kevin,

Put one in my 1992 Javelin 409T/DC recently, I also did the retractable rod straps at the same time. Two very easy mods that you will absolutely love. I have many pics, e-mail me and I'll send them to you.

After you get by the initial fear of cutting a hole in the deck of your boat it's a walk in the park........Kinda!
