    Key switch circuit ETEC 250

Just picked up my new 250 Etec yesterday!!!!!
Since it is cold (is 50 deg cold?) and raining I am taking the time to add a few extras to the boat including Bennett trim tabs.

The trim tabs have an auto-retract feature that needs to be "connected to ignition switch or any 12v circuit that turns on with ignition"

Which wire would this be? I have a new center console binnacle throttle body and ignition switch.

I assume it is one of the wire bundles from the binnacle and if so do I tie into it on the binacle side or the other side of the quick connect plug.

Any warranty issues with doing this?

    Thanks.

Not being able to run this thing is KILLING me!

Re: Key switch circuit ETEC 250 (ddhand)

The purple wire is switched +12V from the key switch. The MWH harness that plugs into the key switch and the engine harness will have two extra wires dropped out of the harness near the plug-in deutsch connector that plugs into the keyswitch harness coming out of the binnacle control. I assume your binnacle has a built-in key switch. It is the same with a seperate dash mounted key switch but the switch in not located in the control unit. One is purple (+ 12V) and the other is black (ground)
