I have a 2001 20SS with a 2001 E-rude 225 HO. My problem is when I put in gear it goes dead half the time and other half not. But when it goes dead I have checked to primer bulb and it is weak or flat. I have replaced all the fuel line and bulb but still does this. Does my boat have a anti-siphon valve and if so were is it located.
Mine was located on the neck coming out of the fuel tank on the pick up. I think all newer model boats have one. It keeps the gas from leaking if you tip the boat over.
I replaced mine with a brass fitting from Lowe's. It has a little check ball in it. Its not very big either.

I know it not in the neck, i just siphoned 25 gallons out of mine
had a similar problem with mine, and it was a dirty fuel filter.
I just replaced the bulb, fuel lines and filter. I had the motor checked Friday and the computer showed no codes. Not sure what the problem is.
