they may have rebadged the 200 to 190. my 190 is 18.5 so they might be making them closer to length.

An 18.5 hull taking a 200hp will be a force...speed guys (about 80% lol) will freak for that rig...should push 70gps stock and 70mph is sort of the "marker" in many places around here...less with 4 stroker maybe but just the thought of that combo will raise some eyebrows...
I have always believed a 175 was not needed...just go up 150-200-250 and leave the 225 and 175 out...time to lean down so many models and speed up these days...

So I see today online at WAYMACK MARINE in Arkansas a 2012 ZX190
with a 150 4 stroker...why would anybody under power that much????

I have a 185 with a 150 on it and am currently talking with Hydro Tech about putting all 3 phase kits in it this winter. Wayne has told me that it should make my 18' 5 run 70 to 72. If those #s are correct I should be able to run with my buddys zx225 provided I can drive her.

I had Phase 1..or tuner/reeds/heads...on a 200 V-Max in 2005 and it went from 25 pitch to 27 pitch and hit 74gps more than once loaded...did not have the nerve to go Phase 3 for engine stability/transom strength reasons...just my way...others have done it....74mph was fine with me...

From very recent posts it seems the 2012 Zx190 will stay at 175hp but the 170 will get a major bump up of 25 hp...wow...for that 16-8 hull, its about time...6 months too late for me...

put a 200 SHO on it running ~1.5" below pad and you should see low 70s...

Soooo now its official that the 2012 TZX190 is the same ole 175 rating
BUT the TZX170 gets a 27% hp jump "due to hull refinements", yeah, right...
6 months ago I bought that 16-8 hull and with a 90hp and full wells its a danger on holeshot, wallows like a hippo and takes 4 ever (even with a Turbo 1)...
so now I am sooo not happy...
anyway they could/should have upped the hp long ago!!!
SO WHAT CHOICES WITH THAT HULL DO I HAVE NOW TO GET THAT 115hp????
