Hi my name is Jake new to BBC but already love it can anyone tell me pros and cons of skeetet ss140
I own a SS150 close to a SS140, I rarely tourney fish and this was my first bassboat. Mine with a 150 runs around 57-60 MPH, has enough storage for me, 2 livewells and the boat for me had been great not many issues at all. It is what it is SS150 18'3 long, forget the width and is an entry level boat. I'm happy with it.
i had one with the merc 135, which is the small v6. I was very happy with it, a little small but was a great boat for me at the time, it is 17' 7 or so in legnth.

Another questions to ask yourself is, Is this the boat I want in a couple years??? How big of a lake do you fish??? I know several of the Texas lakes can get rough.
After you get use to this one you'll want something larger and faster.
It's cheaper to buy a larger boat today than re-buying in a couple years.
Thank you for your input I was thinking the 17.7 length would be good in rough water and the 115 is plenty of motor for me. Main thing I want is safety in boat
