    I have a 200 HPDI with a 25M and I'm turning 5500. I think most 225 have 25 pitch props.

the zx225 should have a Yamaha 25 T1 on it. someone changed the prop or didn't put the right one on it.

    My 01 zx225 with VMAX 225 ox66 came with a 27T1 Prop from factory.

    Re: basic prop servey (photocycle)

that ox motor may have been different enough that it would pull a 27. Any '07 or newer zx225 that i have seen come through our dealer has had the 25 on them. Maybe the HPDI needs a little less prop. they put them on the 20I with the 250 HPDI also.

Re: basic prop servey (Dan I)

My ZX250 came with a 27T-1, with a heavy load I could only turn it to 54-5500. I tried a 27 Fury, 26 Fury and Tempest. I am now running a 25 T-1, very happy with it, no need to try anything else for me.

    Re: basic prop servey (Neilslure)

Neil, i find that interesting. My '08 came with the 27 T1 and my max rpm's are about 5900 in February to about 5800 or a little under in the hot months. that is with it loaded too.

    Re: basic prop servey (bass-coach)

Currently a T1-27P turning at 5650 light load will do 72GPS... tourney load and 2 guys runs 70.5 all the time. 26P TXP on the way which should turn a few more rpms

My T1-25P would turn over 6000rpm and i lost on the top end no matter what height the jp was set to so it's sold.

    Current: 2006 ~ 20i ~ 250 HPDI ~ T1-25p
    Previous: 2005 ~ ZX 225 ~ 250 HPDI Phase III - TXP 26p

My 225 OX66 spins my 27-t1 prop at 58-5900 RPMs with no problems.
