Engine noise?

I never really noticed it before but now that I hear it I hear it all the time. At idle in gear its almost like a rattling every 5 seconds or so. I can't really describe it but its definately a noise, it may have been there and it may not have been. Anyone else have any strande noises in the hpdi?

does your boat have a ladder on it .it will rattle at ilde ?

Took my to the dealer, I have the same noise. I was told that Yamaha's do this and it's normal.

I think it has something to do with the cylinders that shut down at idle but not exactly sure....
