How to Seel Livewell from Water

Have a 92' Skeeter SS90 with the PVC stlye Hose that allows water to both fill the livewell at the bottom and a drain at the top of the livewell. I have been continuing to get about a 1/2" to an inch of water seeping in durring a fishing trip. I am content with the idea that the plugs are not the issue. They seem to be tight and snug. Could PVC need to be sealed in the areas where it enters the livewell. Any suggestions would be helpful. More of a nuisances than a bigger problems, as I like to also store some things in the livewell when not in use. ANy ideas would be great.

I recomend storing some big bass in them and not worry about plugging them.
