Timing for 150 60 degree

I just finished rebuilding my 95 150 intruder 60 degree. I have logged about an hour on the flusher. Can you retard the timing on this motor. I have done it on other Omc models in years past but not familiar with this one. I know there is a special tool the dealer uses but Can or should the timing be retarded? Thanks

Unless you have an analyzer I would leave it alone.

I know that you need an analyzer but should the timing be retarded if I bring it to a dealer after a new rebuild

You did the rebuild so you know not to bang the hell out of the motor, I/we do this to keep a customer from self destructing a newly rebuild motor.
